In celebration of the Spring Solstice, I went to a puppet/kite show at 100 Acres, part of the Indianapolis Art Museum. It was a beautiful Spring day, perfect for kite flying. |
It was a very windy day, and the white wing-like kites were blowing hard. |
Music was played and a drummer was drumming as the story unfolded. |
The puppeteers maneuvered giant bird-shaped kites through the air, depicting the story of egrets migrating. |
At the end of the show, the children were invited onto the field to fly the kites they had created earlier. It was a beautiful and colorful scene. |
